Every year ScotSail® hosts a 2 or 3 super-special sailing events for those who have already done some sailing (i.e. not raw beginners).
These are bespoke adventure cruises led by our Chief Instructor, on one of our larger RYA Training Yachts with the aim of going 'off-the-beaten-track', and to visit some of the most spectacular yachting locations in Western Europe around the islands of the West Coast of Scotland.
You can sign up as an individual, couple or group, but you should have had at least some prior yachting experience, and would perhaps suit those who have already completed their RYA Day Skipper Course or international equivalent. This is not a RYA Course.
There are no age limits - most of our clients are between 35-65 years, and you should have a reasonable level of health and general fitness.

Our No#1 AdventureSail™ Package and regarded as a once-in-a-lifetime experience - Departing Largs Yacht Haven bound for St Kilda, stopping each day and for overnights and via Ardrishaig, transiting the Crinan Canal, the Gulf of Corryvreckan and onto Isle of Barra in the Western Isles and out into the Atlantic waters towards the UK's most remotest place - St Kilda. From there it's the return leg to Tobermory on the Isle of Mull and then finally to the Isle of Kerrera where this trip ends with a short ferry ride back to the mainland at Oban. This written description cannot being to describe the voyage that awaits you, as you and your team of 6 sailors pick each day and night through the West Coast and further offshore, lead by our most senior RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore Commercial Skipper & Instructor stunning sailing locations in Europe...
Departing the Isle of Kerrera off Oban, stopping each day and for overnights each at islands famous for their Malt Whisky Distillieries including Islay and Jura. From there a longer passage over the North Channel to visit Giants Causway in Northern Ireland.
From there it's the return leg to the Firth of Clyde via the Isle of Arran and the islands and ports of the Mid-Clyde, and back to Largs Yacht Haven.
This itinerary has been designed so that it can be added to or modified on the way, so that no two trips are the same!
This GC7 (GuidedCharter 7 Days/Nights is a relaxed sailing trip out of the Firth of Clyde and round some of Scotlands amazing islands - and an opportunity for you to take more control over where you go and how you get there.
There will be a maximum of 6 persons taking part on board one of our larger cruising yachts, with no set route or goal - other than to get in plenty of sailing miles and visit some fantastic locations on Scotlands West Coast.
This trip is ideal as a milebuilder, to get more experience in an informal setting, but still under the guidance of an experienced RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore Instructor. Many treat this as a 'bridge' between RYA Courses and bareboat yacht chartering.

Our multiple modern cruising yachts depart every Sunday at 1800hrs, with our experienced RYA Yachtmaster® Instructors and up to five people (individuals, couples & families), on-board.
Each night is spent at a different island / marina, before returning on Friday for about 1500hrs.
