This course is aimed and those wanting a career in the large yacht or leisure marine industry and is designed to build on your basic knowledge and experience of powerboating. Through this course you will gain confidence in your own ability to manoeuvre a powerboat smoothly. If you don't already have a great deal of practical and navigation experience you will need first to complete the 2-Day RYA PowerBoat Level 2 (Coastal/Tidal) Course.
Over 2 days and one night exercise, you will have plenty of time to practice working with a crew member and operating short-handed. In navigation terms, the emphasis is on short ship-to-shore transfers, and their will be a short night navigation exercise using charts and electronic navigation methods.
It is strongly recommended that candidates hold a first aid and their RYA/MCA VHF Marine Radio Licence.
